Water (H2O) is characterized by surface tension when it is in liquid form. When heated to 100 degrees Celsius water becomes a gaseous vapor. At 0 degrees Celsius, water becomes a solid known as ice.
Pure water has a neutral pH.The chemical make-up of water is two hydrogen atoms attached to an oxygen atom. Water is very heat conductive.
