Erosion, as we learned here, is the deterioration of a landscape. The forces of nature work against the land and move pieces of it from one place to another, but there are many ways for this to happen. Wind, water, and gravity are the main contributing factors that precipitate erosion. Also, there are some factors that play into how easily a landscape is eroded. If we are dealing with water flowing over rocks, the rocks will erode away much slower than say, dirt that has water running over it.
