Carcinogens are basically any substances that may cause cancer. As defined by dictionary.com, a carcinogen is “any substance or agent that tends to produce a cancer.”

Carcinogens are molecules and compounds which have been categorized as sources of cancer, carcinogens have become more widely known about due to recent anti smoking campaigns, however there are many other products and processes which produce carcinogens.
Carcinogens are any substance or radiation that can contribute to the growth of cancer cells in living organisms. We unfortunately encounter a huge number of carcinogenic materials each day… smog, building materials, some plastics, the list goes on and on. Most people are also exposed to radiation every day as well.
