Carbon markets are also called carbon trading. The purpose of carbon trade is to trade greenhouse gas emission between nations; they usually do this type of trading in order to receive commodity. This trade process is trying to reduce greenhouse gas and store more carbon. A nation that cannot meet the standards of reducing greenhouse gas would pay another naiton to reduce emission for them in a fair quantity or price. The kyoto protocol is trying to make nations reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2012, since 1990 they sucessfully reduced 5.2% of greenhouse gas.
