What are the best rechargeable batteries?

The best ones so far are hybrid Nickel-Hydride (Ni-MH) batteries, which can hold charges for months at a time. They are suitable for both low-drain devices like TV remotes and flashlights and high-drain devices like digital cameras. The three most common brands are Sony’s Eneloop, the E8GE 1000 Hybrid, and Uniross’ Hybrio. Also available is Rayovac’s I-C3, which are less efficient, but charge faster, taking only about 15 minutes to fully charge.
