A plug-in hybrid electric vehicle is a car with batteries that can be charged by plugging them into the electricity grid. These cars have a standard combustion engine as well as the new plug-in system. Some of the vehicles thought to be the best in terms of efficiency, reliability, and speed include the Chevy Volt, the Toyota Prius, the Volkswagon Golf, and Fiska Karma. Nissan is currently producing a wholly electric vehicle called the Leaf–they are providing so much customer support for it that it makes this car (regardless of the possible “first model” issues that might come up) extremely lucrative. Plus, the price is very low for such new technology.
