There are many benefits to having a Living Roof. Firstly, it limits dangerous stormwater runoff problems by allowing rainwater to go through its natural cycle. This helps pollution runoff and flooding. Also, it helps to regulate temperature and to avoid what is known as the ‘urban heat island’ effect of higher temperatures in cities. It also improves air quality by creating more oxygen and filtering particulates. There are also opportunities for food production and habitat as well as for aesthetic beauty like any garden.
