There are many benefits to following an organic diet.
The pesticides used by organic farmers tend to be less persistent in the environment, meaning that they breakdown much faster than most conventional pesticides. Organic pesticides tend to be less harmful to non-target species than conventional pesticides (many of which were developed during WWII as nerve gas and therefore kill anything with a nervous system). Organic fruits and veggies also tend to have less pesticide residue than their conventionally farmed counter parts. Meaning that when you eat the fruit you are ingesting less pesticide.
The chemicals and laboratory ingredients that are commonly found in processed food are not in organic food. Following an organic diet will allow an individual to have natural ingredients in their diet.
