The Great Lakes are being affected by global warming. Nearby residents have noticed that the water levels are shrinking and scientists have attributed this to climate change. Researchers at the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Large Lakes Observatory have noticed the temperature of Lake Superior increasing by 2.5 °C since 1979 and less ice blocks are available to block evaporation.
