Gorillas are well adapt to their specific regions. Long hair not only protects them from cold weather on mountain ranges, but protects them from biting bugs in the jungle. Gorilla’s characteristic long arms and short legs reduces stress on their joints. This also allows them to be superior tree climbers. The added feature of opposable thumbs and hallux (big toe) provides a secure grasp. With a large size and bulky build, gorillas have few predators. Despite this they are herbivorous, plant-eaters. The ability to digest plants provide them stability of not traveling long distances for food.
