The zebra and the wildbeast both travel about 1,500 miles across the Serengeti at the beginning of the dry season. It is the largest overland migration not simply in terms of distance, but also in terms of herd-size. Many wildbeast herds may be up to 7 miles long. (I should mention that the largest oversea & land migration belongs to the albatross, who can travel over 20,000 miles in a single flight.
