The giant panda could be extinct in a matter of years due to loss of habitat and poaching. Fewer than 1,000 remain in their native home in China.
There are five species that the World Wildlife Fund is working to revive. These species are the Giant Panda, Orangutan, Asian Elephant, Bengal Tiger, White Rhinoceros, Gorillas, and Flatback Turtles. These are some of the more endangered animals, but some scientists say that up to 25% of the planet’s species could go extinct by 2050. Our goal, obviously, is to make sure that his statistic does not become a reality.
