Asking what makes up any type of infrastructure (telephones, internet, roads, water supply lines) is asking a lot; there aren’t to many people who are experts in more than one field. Just think about how much goes into any one of these process! Buy you asked about fuel infrastructure: I’ll give you the short of it as best I can: Drilling (research and operations) —> Transportation to Refineries —> Refineries —> Sales, Marketing, and purchasing of different source products to be various needs (petroleum, vs. plastics, etc.) —-> Transportation of fuels — gas stations and pumps. Throw in on top of that a regulation system and probably about a million more things (seriously, when you hear infrastructure, think complicated). Everything is intertwined or connected. Thus life is the infrastructure of existence.
