All electric cars, like the Nissan LEAF, use no gasoline, and are entirely powered by electricity, as opposed to hybrids which only use electricity for a portion of their power. They don’t tend to have the same amount of driving range before they need a recharge, and it can take a long time for the car to get completely charged, which is why the cars haven’t been very popular or commonly manufactured.
All electric cars are cars that are run completely on electricity, using no gas at all. Electric cars are powered by rechargeable batteries, whose power can be renewed by everyday household electricity. These cars have an electric motor instead of a gasoline engine. Although they still require energy, they reduce our dependence on gasoline and are emission free.
To add to the answers above here is a list of different electric cars:
1. BMW Megacity
2. BYD E6
3. Chevy Volt
4. Coda (Electric Sedan)
5. Ford Focus Electric
There are many others listed at the website provided; the benefits of electric cars are very significant. There are no tailpipe emissions, convenient (you will not need to go to the gas station) and you will be helping the environment and reducing your carbon footprint.
