Agriculture biotechnology is defined as an agricultural science in a broad multidisciplinary field encompassing the parts of exact, natural, economic and social sciences that are used in the practice of understanding agriculture. It includes a range of tools that include breeding techniques, techniques to improve domesticated plants, animals and microbes which will enhance their traits. Modern biotechnology today includes recombinant DNA techniques.
It is the production of genetically and chemically altered foods. These foods can be altered for taste, modified to last longer before rotting. It also involves altering or adding chemicals to soils to help plants grow faster, quicker, and more easily in potentially different climates than the plants are known to natural grow in.
