Botswana supposedly has the largest amount of elephants, numbering at 143,000-150,000. The population may be too large, and there are talks of creating corridors between parks and opening adjacent parks across national borders to allow the elephants to disperse.
The Chobe National Park and Chobe River appear to have the largest Elephant population in Africa. This National Park is in Botswana, and the river is on the edge of Botswana and Nambia.
