Thomson’s gazelles need water more so than Grant’s gazelles; however, they have adapted to the open plains and grasslands of Kenya and Tanzania. Physical adaptations include shorter stature to help with moisture loss and longer limbs for faster mobility. Behavior adaptations include herding in order to protect against predators and nomadism in order to replenish food supply.
