What about the structure of helium makes it lighter than oxygen?

Helium is one of the lightest elements because it’s nucleus only has one two protons and two neutrons where as oxygen’s nucleus has six of each. Hydrogen is the lightest because it’s nucleus has only one proton and one neutron (sometimes even only one proton period), but because of it’s explosive properties it is not safe for use in balloons.
