Whales are mammals. They are warm-blooded, breathe air with lungs, give birth to live young, and have hair. Sharks, on the other hand, are fish. They are (mostly) cold-blooded, breathe through their gills, and are equipped with two sets of paired fins and additional unpaired ones.
