Is the west coast of America in danger of Tsunami’s?

Especially the west coast. Technically, anywhere with a coastline is vulnerable to tsunamis, but they typically are a Pacific and Indian ocean issue. These are the areas directly affected by the ring of fire. The ring of fire is volcanically active region that borders the tectonic plates that make up pacific ocean. These areas also contain quite a few faults that produce earthquakes. Tsunamis are caused by these earthquakes, but are also caused by major landslides into the ocean. The other danger comes from a wave that “bounces” off another continent and heads our direction. In 1964, the west was berated with tsunamis, the hardest hit being BC, Canada and Crescent City, CA
