Were Nile perch introduced to any lakes in America?

I spent some time searching for any signs of Nile perch in American lakes, but as far as I can tell they have not been.  Nile perch some of the world’s most invasive predatory fish, so I’m guessing that if they had been there would be some documentation about how they ruined the local ecosystems.  All accounts I saw were from lakes in Africa where they caused problems, and a lot of facts about how the owning of Nile perch in Australia is illegal and carries a fine of 150,000 AUD.  No one seems to want them in their systems because of how detrimental they can be to the local ecosystems.
