where do they live
Prime monkey habitat consists mainly of tropical areas containing rainforests. This can be found in most countries along the equator. Central and South America harbor several primate species, as well as Asia.
Monkeys are found in the New World and the Old World while apes live primarily in Africa and Asia (the Old World). Monkeys live in warm areas like the tropics and like jungle areas like are found in Central and South America and Asia. Some species are very endangered and restricted to very small ranges while others are found across a lot of land.
Snow monkeys that live in the mountains of Japan will sit out in the snow and do not live in a warm environment like many species.
