The American Association of Pediatricians, “does not recommend television for children age 2 or younger. For older children, the Academy recommends no more than 1 to 2 hours per day of educational, nonviolent programs,” but the study they based that recommendation on involved programs that weren’t incredibly educational. In general, it seems that if parents absolutely need a 10-minute break, a baby watching an educational video specifically geared towards babies isn’t the end of the world, but that it’s better for babies to NOT watch TV.
