Gandhi spoke extensively on topics that are associated with the environment, such as industrialization and urbanization. He suggested that India need not be industrialized, which would do a great deal to stop pollution. Gandhi was a supporter of anti animal cruelty which is an environmental issue. Since he did not support consuming or the production of meat, he was actually supporting an issue that preserves the environment. Meat consumption and production is one of the largest environmental polluters.
