Was crater lake caused by a meteor?

No, by a volcanic eruption. Crater Lake was formed when a massive eruption of Mount Mazama 7700 years ago caused the mountain to collapse, leaving a steaming caldera. Centuries of rain and snow filled the caldera creating Crater Lake. We know this from geological records and because local Native Americans witnessed the collapse of Mount Mazama and kept the event alive in their legends.
