Is the plug in version of the Prius more fuel efficient than the non plug in version?

Typically, plug-in hybrid cars can obtain about twice the fuel economy of conventional hybrids, depending on the make and model. For Prius, the plug in mileage will be more efficient as well. The mileage on a Prius is about 50 miles per gallon, and the plug-in is aiming to be about 75 miles to the gallon.
