Vegetable and other cooking oils can be easily refined into an efficient biodiesel, that is actually more efficient than most normal diesels. There are a few diesel car owners that make deals with local restaurants to use their used fryer oil as a fuel, once filtered and cleaned.
I hope this helped!
It’s most efficient when using oils that have already been used, but otherwise it takes a lot of food crops to make the oil just for fuel purposes. It would be wiser to look at other alternatives once the restaurant and other forms of used oil have been exhausted.
