Is UPS or FedEx greener?

Based on recent rankings by Newsweek and information from the company, UPS is doing a better job at sustainability than Fedex. UPS has a lower figure for emissions (1.54 CO2 pounds per available ton miles ub 2005, compared to FedEx’s 2.26) and has made a larger emissions reduction. UPS also does a more thorough job at tracking their own carbon footprint because they include all of their buildings, trucks, planes, and vendor electricity usage. Businesses will likely support the greener shipping company in the near future, and UPS seems to have an advantage.
