On a political level, yes. The UK currently has some of the best climate policy in the world, mandating carbon emissions reductions through renewable energy and energy efficiency. (Unfortunately, this still doesn’t go far enough to counter climate change, some argue. )This lies in stark contrast to the US, which really doesn’t have a climate change policy at this point. The Waxman-Markey energy bill passed the House of Representatives but lies dormant in the Senate, and it’s unclear whether it will pass.
