Cheetahs have an enlarged heart and lungs which allows them to circulate oxygen more efficiently.  In addition, their nostrils are large, allowing them to take in more oxygen than other cats.  Finally, their body is lightweight and streamlined and they use their long tails like a rudder, allowing them to make sharp turns.
