Is trader joes better for the environment than whole foods?

If Trader Joe’s has anything more than green friendly food products up its sleeve, it’s not doing as good of a job as Whole Foods, which advertises its crusade to run a greener market all over their stores. There is the exception that a Trader Joe’s probably leaves a smaller footprint than the massive Whole Foods stores everywhere, though it’s a sure bet Whole Foods is trying to do its part to be as environmentally responsible on its properties as possible. Whole Foods products do carry a heftier price tag as a result though.

From what I can tell, they’re probably about even.  Trader Joe’s may not do quite so much on a grand scale as Whole Foods, but you have to consider that they are entirely different sizes.  Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods both do incredible work for the environment.  Plus their food is organic, natural and delicious!
