Heat produced inside a nuclear power plant is used in the process of generating electricity. Heat, in the form of steam, runs turbines that produce electricity. Therefor, heat generated by the fission of uranium atoms is necessary for the productivity of the nuclear power plant. Heat generated from this splitting of atoms replaces the burning of coal or gas inside an electrical power plant. Moreover, the heat from nuclear power plants is being used effectively and efficiently.
