Yes. Recently a skyscraper in New York was given a new form of air conditioning and cooling system by using ice. At night, all of the water in the building is frozen and made into huge blocks of ice in the basement. When people go to work there during the day, the cool vapors from the ice is allowed to go through pipes to cool the entire building. The water is frozen again overnight as part of the cycle.
