Some people who raise chickens say that you can increase the frequency of egg laying by buying a lamp and giving your hen more hours of light. But most chickens don’t lay more than one, or at the very most two, eggs per day.
sarahtonin is correct. It is very difficult to get a hen to lay more than one egg per day. However, if one were to try, it is important to realize that hens only lay eggs when they are about and awake. Using a light source before the sun rises or after the sun sets gives them more “daytime” than the sun can provide, and will increase your chances of having more eggs.
