No, there is not. What is commonly referred to as “waterproof sheetrock” is actually something called greenboard. Greenboard drywall is commonly used in humid environments such as bathrooms, kitchens, and basements. It is covered in a water resistant green paper which helps prevent mold and disintegration that can happen with use of regular paper covered drywall. For use in places where water will constantly have the potential of meeting the wall, such as a shower, contractors recommend using cement backing board. It is the same concept as drywall, only instead of crushed plaster, it is made of sheets of fiberglass reinforced concrete board.
American Gypsum is another type of moisture-resistant drywall.
