Arizona has been long debating their solar power plans. There is not am amazing incentive program for individual residents to get solar panels. There are big tax credits to help with the up-front costs, and then there is a great credit program with the utilities company that allows you to produce up to 125% of your needs with a buy-back program. It is no secret that Arizona is a politically a very conservative state, which may be way their solar programs have not moved forward faster. The biggest obstacle standing in the way of a large scale solar power production plan is lack of water. The widely used solar production methods use a huge amount of water, which unlike sun and open space, Arizona does not have.
