Is there more waste by product made in a nuclear power plant or in a coal power plant?

The weight of the waste made by nuclear power plants is much smaller for the amount of power it generates, but it is a lot more difficult to store and remains dangerous for hundreds of years. The storage of nuclear waste is rarely discussed because of how Native American people have been exploited to keep it in unsafe containers for minimal compensation. If we stored radioactive waste in the middle of a wealthy neighborhood of educated people, we would almost immediately know the full impacts of storing nuclear waste because they would demand to know all of the risks to their community.
