Oddly enough, I don’t think anyone has ever done a study regarding the relative quantativity of swordfish to snailfish, however, I would surmise that there are a greater number of snailfish. Due to overfishing, there has been a vast decline in the swordfish population, and now fewer than one million remain worldwide. The snailfish, by contrast, is the one of the deepest-living fish in the world and is not commonly fished for seafood.
