There is more plankton than krill. I couldn’t find any numerical data, but krill actually feed on plankton. There is a ton of plankton that floats around the ocean. There are even two different kinds of plankton: phytoplankton, the plant version, and zooplankton, the animal version. Krill feed on them, and the way food chains typically work is that there are more of a type of animal the lower it is on the food chain.
