Research done at the University of Rochester shows that BPA is more prevalent in canned foods than in food housed in plastic containers. The main reason why these cans are continuously used is because no suitable alternative has been found yet.
Here is another link about a study done by Consumer Reports that found that BPA is present in nearly all canned food. I’ve also provided a link showing what you can do to try to significantly decrease your exposure to this harmful chemical. Sadly, there doesn’t seem to be any surefire way to completely eliminate your exposure to it.
