The short answer is YES. Phosphoric acid which is documented to be synonymous with kidney disease is found in most sodas. In a study using over 1,000 participants, half with chronic kidney disease and half with out researchers were able to conclude that consumption of 2 or more colas a day increased participants risk for kidney disease twofold. I say stick with HANSENS 🙂
There have been theories that the high fructose corn syrup in soda pop is bad for your kidneys. A recent study from Environmental Health found that there were significant amounts of mercury in nine out of twenty types of high fructose corn syrup. Too much sugar leads to the deterioration of overall health.
Light soda has corn syrup as well right I wonder why you only hear about dark soda and kidney disease.
