Is there a link between the rise of factory farming and the rise of obesity in the U.S.?

Factory farming definitely takes away from healthier triglyceride formation in the meat as well as other nutritional content. Also, the animals are pumped with antibiotics and different chemicals which are not healthy. Free range and naturally raised animals have significantly more of nutritional content and are a much healthier type of meat to eat. So, obesity can rise from the consumption of empty calories from less nutritionally satisfying meat and from the different chemicals in the meat as well.
