Is there an eco friendly cockroach killer?

Yes, you can purchase eco friendly cockroach killer at These tablets contain boric acid, which is a natural compound that disrupts the metabolism of cockroaches. It will also weaken their exoskeletons. It will cause them to die of dehydration, even if they decide no to eat the tablets.

There is also an eco-friendly cockroach killer you can make at home. All you need to do is mix equal parts Borax and sugar, then put the mixture wherever you think a cockroach might be. Borax is normally used as laundry booster, so it’s not a dangerous chemical.

There are plenty of these, but my favorite is “Bugs ‘R Done”, which is both environmentally safe and effective. It kills most insects quickly, is safe to use around kids and indoors.

Actually, borax should best be avoided (sorry pflanzenfaser!), because any compound that contains boron is toxic in concentrated amounts. Still you don’t necessarily need pricey chemicals to get rid of cockroaches. A well-known, simple homemade roach killer will get the job done without compromising the health of your loved ones or your bank account. Mix equal parts of baking soda, sugar, and water and apply the paste in cracks, under cabinets, and anywhere else you’ve seen roaches. The baking soda will kill the roach that eats it (roaches and many other bugs have quite an appetite for sugar), but before then it will stick to their feet so that it is carried back to the roach nest, where the others will also eat it and die. This treatment also works well for ants. Happy hunting!
