Is there a difference between salt water and fresh water glaciers?

Almost all glaciers (as well as ice bergs) are fresh water due to the nature and process of how water freezes.  If the water freezes slowly enough, salt will not be trapped within the ice.  Fresh water ice bergs can be completely surrounded by salt water.  Also, glaciers are an important souce of fresh water for ecosystems, animals, and humans.
