Is there a difference between the Amazon rainforest and other rainforests?

The Amazon is the world’s largest rainforest, encompassing over half of Brazil.

One third of the world’s birds live in this rainforest, as well as over 500 mammals, over 475 reptiles (including 175 lizards), and a whopping 30 million types of insects.

Furthermore, it produces about 20% of the world’s oxygen.
