Is there a difference betwee tidal power and wave power?

    There is a difference.  Tidal power is fully based on the movement of the water during tides.  Tides can occur at different frequencies and strengths depending on their location in the world and are influenced by the lunar cycle.  Wave power is the energy collected at the surface of the water from waves that you can easily see.  Waves are created by wind energy.
