Absolutely, we need to drastically reduce the emission of greenhouse gases into the environment (stop burning fossil fuels, for instance), and reduce our usage of natural resources, like wood products and mined materials. Adopting the energy policy put forth by the European Union would also help to mitigate and slow the effects of Global Warming.
Here are other practical ways of reducing/ slowng down the effects of global warming:
1. Contribute to any recycling program in your region.
2. Buy energy-efficient products.
3. Use less hot water.
4. Use the “off” switch.
5. Most importantly encourage others to conserve. Without the assistance of others progress becomes difficult. If there is a large amount of people working towards something it makes it easier to improve the issue.
