Is there anyway to build up a water table once it has been diminished?

Naturally, people must simply wait for the water cycle to run its course so that the water table is replenished naturally by its source – whether that be a river, snow melt, or rain.

Artificially, to refill an aquifer that has been used up, there are a few options.

    1. using an “infiltration basin” is spreading water, such as reclaimed municipal wastewater, over the land and allowing it to percolate into the watertable on its own

    2. directly injecting treated water into the watertable

    3. water traps – increase infiltration of water into the groundwater when constructed every hundred meters
