You can try buying a specific type of seed like thistle. Usually American Goldfinches and smaller birds eat that whereas starlings like larger seeds and suet. Also using a feeder with smaller openings (like for thistle) will make it hard for them to feed. Often times starlings have difficulty clinging to feeders, so buying a suet container that requires a good deal of clinging would be best. Same with feeders.
There are ways to either fence in your feeder so larger birds can’t get to them, or certain seed that the larger birds don’t want to eat, or even super sonic sound systems that tend to drive away birds like starlings. Both of the links below have some great info.
