Absolutely! While it is no where near the size of the Himalayan Mountains, the Aravalli Range is a very significant mountain range. Not only does it help create the border between India and Pakistan, but it spans a great distance of about 800 km (almost 500 miles). It reaches from Ahmedabad, Gujarat in the south to nearly all the way to Delhi in the north. The glaciers and mass amounts of snow create runoff and fill several important rivers in the area. It is also known as being one of the oldest ranges known to man. According to IndianSaga.com the Aravalli Range is “one of the oldest mountain systems in the world. The present Aravalli range is only a remnant of the gigantic system that existed in pre-historic times”.
